A colorless to light-yellow transparent solution for oral administration, produced in glass or plastic vials of 10; 100; 200; 250; 500 or 1000 ml.
1 ml of FLORICOL« contains 100 mg of florfenicol.
Florfenicol is active against gram-positive and gram-negative microorganisms: Staphylococcus spp., Streptococcus spp., Escherichia coli, Salmonella spp., Pasteurella multocida, Haemophilus spp., Proteus spp., Enterobacter spp., Shigella spp., Klebsiella spp., Bordetella spp..
After the administration of FLORICOL« florfenicol is readily adsorbed from the gastric tract and actively penetrates into the majority of organs and tissues of the organism. In the event of FLORICOL« administration with drinking water the curative content of florfenicol in the organism of a bird is reached in 20 minutes and maintained during the whole course of treatment. Florfenicol is effused from the organism of a bird primarily with bile and excrements.
- Treatment and prevention of bacterial infections in poultry, including colisepticaemia and salmonellosis.
FLORICOL« is administered dissolved in water in proportion of 2 ml per 1l of drinking water during 3 to 5 days. The solution should be prepared every day. During the course of treatment birds should receive only water containing FLORICOL«.
FLORICOL« should not be used in case of acute involvement of hemopoietic system, liver, kidneys and the individual sensitivity to florfenicol.
FLORICOL« should not be used for treatment of egg-laying hens as the antibiotic is effused with eggs.
FLORICOL« should not be used together with other antibiotics, indirect anticoagulants, barbiturates and muscle relaxants.
The slaughter of poultry for meat processing is allowed not earlier than in 3 days after the last administration of FLORICOL«. The meat of poultry slaughtered prior to the withdrawal period shall be used directly for animal feeding or for production of tankage.
FLORICOL« should be stored with precaution (List B) at 0 to 25 °C in a dry place away from direct sun light. Validity period in the prescribed conditions ľ 2 years from the date of production.
