A grayish-yellow water soluble powder, produced in plastic jars or double-layer paper bags of 100 100, 250, 500, 1000 and 5000 gr.
1 gr of TIACYCLIN« contains 50 mg of doxycycline hydrochloride and 50 mg of tiamulin hydrogen fumarate.
Tiamulin and doxycycline are active against Mycoplasma (Mycoplasma hyopneumoniae, M. hyorhinis, M. hyosynoviae, M. synoviae, M. meleagridis), Spirochaetas (Brachyspira hyodysenteriae, B. innocents, B. suis), many gram-positive and some gram-negative bacteria, including Streptococcus spp., Staphylococcus spp., Bacillus anthracis, Erysipelothrix spp., Listeria spp Arcanobacterium (Corynebacterium), Actinobacillus pleuropneumoniae, Clostridium perfringens, Lawsonia intracellularis, Mannheimia haemolitica, Pasteurella spp., Leptospira spp., Haemophillus spp, Bordetella sp., Brucella sp., Bartonella sp., Actinobacillus pleuropneumoniae, Đampylobacter spp. and Bacteroides spp.
The combination of tiamulin and doxycycline creates synergetic action against microorganisms by inhibition of protein synthesis in microbial cells at various stages.
Tiamulin and doxycycline are well absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract and penetrate into all bodily organs and tissues where therapeutic concentrations last 24 hours.
Tiamulin is eliminated preemptively with bile and, to a lesser degree, via kidneys. The largest portion of doxycycline is eliminated with bile.
Prevention and treatment of dysentery, atrophic rhinitis, enzootic pheumonia, actinobacillotic pleuropneumonia, Glasser's disease, intestinal spirochetosis, salmonellosis, colibacillosis, necrotic enteritis in pigs caused by tiamulin and doxycycline-sensitive microorganisms.
TIACYCLIN« is administered orally in combination with food either individually or to groups:
- for treatment in the dosage of 2.5-3 kg per 1 ton of food per day for a period of 5 days;
- for prevention purposes in the dosage of 2-2.5 kg per 1 ton of food per day for 5-10 days.
TIACYCLIN« cannot be administered to animals with hypersensitivity to tetracycline and thymulin and to animals with hypohepatia.
TIACYCLIN« cannot be used in combination with ionophoric antibiotics (monensin etc.) 7 days prior and after the administration of TIACYCLIN«, and in combination with oxidizers, antacids, kaolin and preparations with content of iron, magnesium, calcium and aluminium.
Slaughter of pigs for meat processing is allowed not earlier than in 10 days after the last administration of TIACYCLIN«.
TIACYCLIN« should be stored with precaution (list B) at up to 30 °C in a dry place away from direct light and children. Validity period in conditions prescribed by the instruction - 2 years from the date of production. Back to catalogue
