A grey to grey-brown powder (with mill offals as a vehicle) or white water-soluble powder (with lactose as a vehicle), produced in paper polyethylene-coated bags or laminated bags or plastic jars of 100; 200; 500 or 1000 g.
1000 g of SPELINK« - 44 contain 22.0 g of spectinomycin sulfate and 22.0 g of lincomycin hydrochloride.
The combination of two antibiotics (spectinomycin and lincomycin) in SPELINK«-44 has synergistic action against the majority of gram-positive and gram-negative microorganisms, including Escherichia, Salmonella, Bordetella spp, Treponema chiodysenteriae and Mycoplasma spp.
After oral administration, the active substances are well absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract and penetrate into many organs and tissues. The maximum concentrations of antibiotics in blood accumulate in 3-6 hours after administration of the preparation.
Lincomycin and spectinomycin are eliminated from the body mainly unmodified with urine or and faeces.
- Treatment and prevention of colibacillosis, salmonellosis and dysentery in pigs.
- Treatment and prevention of colibacillosis and mycoplasmosis in chickens.
For treatment purposes, SPELINK«-44 is administered to pigs in combination with food in the dosage of 1 kg of the preparation per 1 ton of food for a period of 7 days. In a case of chronic desease and for prevention purposes, the preparation may be administered over a period of 21-28 days.
In serious cases, the dosage of SPELINK«-44 may be doubled to 2 kg per 1 ton of food for a period of 7 days.
To chickens, SPELINK«-44 is administered in the dosage of 1.1 g per 1 kg of body weight over a period of 3-7 days.
SPELINK«-44 (water-soluble powder) can also be dissolved in water. The solution is prepared based on the daily need of poultry in water. During the treatement period, the poultry should be given only the water with SPELINK« - 44 content.
In some cases, pigs may develop skin and mucosa erythema which disappears gradually within 5 to 8 days after disuse.
The use of SPELINK« - 44 is contraindicated to ruminants, horses, rabbits and laying hens.
Slaughering of pigs for meat processing is allowed not earlier than in 3 days after the last administration of SPELINK« - 44, poultry can be slaughtered for meat not earlier than in 2 days after disuse. In the event of slaughter prior to the expiration of the withdrawal period, the meat may be used for animal feeding or production of tankage.
SPELINK« - 44 should be stored with precaution (list B) at 0 to 25 °C in a dry place away from direct light. Validity period in conditions prescribed by the instruction - 2 years from the date of production.
