Protozoa, fungi and the majority of strains of Pseudomonas aeruginosa are neomycin-resistant.
After oral administration, neomycin is not absorbed and has germicidal effect mainly in the gastrointestinal tract. It is eliminated from the body mainly with faeces and partially with urine.
Neomycin has no cumulation properties.
Treatment of gastrointestinal diseases in young farming animals and poultry (salmonellosis, colibacillosis, gastroenterocolitis caused by bacteries).

Administration of NEOMYCIN to animals with individual hypersensitivity to the antibiotic is not recommended.
NEOMYCIN cannot be used in combination with other aminoglycoside antibiotics (streptomycin, kanamycin, gentamycin) in view of potential enhancement of the toxic action.
Slaughtering of animals and poultry for meat processing is allowed not earlier than in 7 days after the last administration of NEOMYCIN. The meat of animals and poultry slaughtered prior to the expiration of the withdrawal period is used for animal feeding or production of tankage.
