A slightly viscous yellowish solution for injections, produced in glass and plastic vials of 10; 50; 100 and 200 ml.
1ml of TILANIK« 5% contains 50 mg of tylosin base.
1ml of TILANIK « 20% contains 200 mg of tylosin base.
Tylosin, the active substance of TILANIK«, is an antibiotic of macrolide group and active against the majority of gram-positive and some gram-negative bacteries, including Streptococcus, Staphylococcus, Corynebacterium, Clostridium, Pasteurella, Erysipelothrix, Fusiforms, Spirochaetas, Chlamydia, Treponema hiodysenteriae and Mycoplasma spp.
When injected intramuscularly, tylosin is absorbed from the site of injection into blood and penetrates into practically all bodily organs and tissues. Tylosin reaches the highest concentration in lungs, liver, lactiferous glands and kidneys. After a single injection of TILANIK« therapeutic concentration of the antibiotic sustains for at least 20 hours.
Tylosin is eliminated from the body mainly with bile and a lesser degree with urine and milk.
- Treatment of bronchopneumonia in cattle, sheep, goats, pigs, dogs and cats.
- Treatment of enzootic pneumonia, dysentery, arthrities, atrophic rhinitis in pigs.
- Treatment of infected agalactia in sheep and goats.
- Treatment of mastitis in cows.
- Prevention and treatment of repeated infections upon virus diseases.
The preparation is administered to animals in the form of intramuscular injections once a day for a period of 3-5 days as follows: Cattle ľ 4-10 mg/kg of body weight. Pigs ľ 2-10 mg/kg of body weight. Sheep and goats - 5ľ10 mg/kg of body weight. Dogs and cats ľ 2ľ10 mg/kg of body weight.
In pigs, the allergic reaction may occurs very rarely in the form of erythema, itching and respiratory irritations which disappear soon after disuse.
The preparation is not recommended to be used in combination with penicillins, cephalosporins and lincomycin which can mitigate the antibacterial effect of tylosin.
Slaugter of animals for meat processing is allowed not earlier than in 8 days after the last administration of TILANIK«. Animal meat after forced slaugher prior to the expiration of the withdrawal period should be used for animal feeding or production of tankage.
No consumption of milk is allowed from animals in terms from the first usage of TILANIK« until the expiration of 4 days after the last aministration. Such milk can be used for animal feeding.
TILANIK« should be stored with precaution (list B) at 5 to 25 °C in a dry place away from direct light. Validity period in conditions prescribed by the instruction - 2 years from the date of production.
