A transparent yellowish solution for injections, produced in glass and plastic vials of 2; 5; 10; 25; 50 or 100 ml.
1 ml of ENROFLON« 2,5% contains 25 mg of enrofloxacin.
1 ml of ENROFLON« 5% contains 50 mg of enrofloxacin.
1 ml of ENROFLON« 10% contains 100 mg of enrofloxacin.
Enrofloxacin, the active substance of ENROFLON«, refers to fluoroquinolones with a wide range of antimicrobial and anti-mycoplasmal effects. It suppresses the growth of gram-positive and gram-negative microorganisms, including: ┼.˝ţli, Haemophilus, Klebsiella, Pasteurella, Pseudomonas, Bordetella, Campylobacter, Erysipelothrix, Corynebacterium, Staphylococcus, Streptococcus, Actinobacillus, Clostridium, Bacteroşides, Fusobacterium, and Mycoplasma spp.
Enrofloxacin quickly absorbs from the site of injection and penetrates in all bodily organs and tissues. Enrofloxacin achieves maximum concentration in blood in 0.5 ľ 1hr after the injection of ENROFLON«, this concentration lasts 4-6 hours, therapeutic concentration lasts 24 hours.
Enrofloxacin is partially subject to biotransformation into ciprofloxacin. Fluorquinolones are eliminated from the organism primarily unchanged with urine and bile.
- Treatment of bronchopheumonia, colibacillosis, salmonellosis and other diseases in calves, lambs and piglets caused by fluoroquinolone-sensitive microorganisms.
- Treatment of atrophic rhinitis, enzootic pneumonia and mastitis-metritis-agalaxy syndrome in pigs.
ENROFLON« is administered once a day hypodermically to calves and lambs and intramuscularly to piglets in the dose of 2.5-5 mg/kg of body weight for a period of 3-5 days. For sows in the case of MMA syndrome ENROFLON« is administered intramuscularly in the dose of 2.5 mg/kg of body weight for a period of 1-2 days.
For calves and sows ENROFLON« to be administered in the quantities not more than 10ml per site, for lambs - not more than 5ml per site, for piglets - not more than 2.5 ml per site.
ENROFLON« cannot be used in combination with chloramphenicol, tetracyclines, macrolides, theophyllin, steroids, indirect anticoagulants and also for animals during pregnancy.
Slaughter of animals for meet processing is allowed not earlier than in 14 days after the last administration of the preparation. The meat of animals killed prior to the expiration of the withdrawal period should be used for animal feeding and production of tankage.
ENROFLON« should be stored with precaution (List B) at 5 to 25 °C in a dry place away from direct light. Validity period in conditions prescribed by the instruction - 5 years from the date of production.
